Kefir muffins with strawberry filling - a delicious summer dessert that you can treat yourself to in the strawberry season. Muffins, in my opinion, are an excellent packaging for any berry filling, be it blueberries, blackberries, raspberries or strawberries. You can mix any filling into a thick sweet dough and cook delicious muffins in less than an hour. By the way, wild berries are also suitable for the recipe, they are very fragrant and tasty.

The one who invented the muffins truly benefited the lazy sweet tooth! After all, it takes a little time to prepare a small treat, unlike baking cakes, pies or cheesecakes. You will have time to bake muffins by breakfast, if there is an extra half an hour left.

  • Time for preparing: 45 minutes
  • Servings Per Container: 8

Ingredients for kefir muffins with strawberry filling

  • 1 cup strawberries;
  • 150 g of wheat flour;
  • 100 g of kefir;
  • 175 g of sugar;
  • 40 g butter;
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder;
  • powdered sugar, salt, soda, vegetable oil.

A method of preparing muffins on kefir with strawberry filling

Pour fresh kefir or unsweetened yogurt into a deep container.

We measure out the necessary amount of granulated sugar, mix with kefir. To balance the taste, pour small table salt on the tip of the knife.

By the way, in order to give caramel flavor to baked goods, instead of white sugar, try making brown dough or add 2 tablespoons of dark honey.

Beat the ingredients with a whisk, break the raw chicken egg into a bowl. To prepare this amount of dough, one large egg is enough.

Melt the butter, cool to room temperature, add to the liquid ingredients. Instead of butter, you can melt cream margarine or use odorless vegetable oil.

We mix the liquid ingredients with sifted wheat flour and baking powder, also add 1 4 teaspoon of baking soda.

Knead a thick and uniform dough without lumps. Put strawberries in a colander, rinse with cold water, dry on a napkin. Add the berries to the dough, mix gently.

Silicone cupcake molds are lubricated from the inside with odorless refined vegetable oil. We fill the forms with dough for 3 4, so that there is room for it to rise.

Put the forms on a baking sheet. In a gas oven, muffins can burn, so I put silicone in thick metal molds. For reliability, you can pour into a metal molds on a tablespoon of hot water - in a water bath, baking does not burn.

We heat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius. Place the muffin pan in the center of the heated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes.

Sprinkle ready-made kefir muffins with strawberry filling with powdered sugar and fresh strawberries. Serve to the table with a cup of milk, cream or tea.

In the berry season, take several types of berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries), divide the dough into 3 parts and bake 3 types of muffins at the same time. Variety is always nice!

Kefir muffins with strawberry filling are ready. Enjoy your meal!
